Testimonials

“Alma is an exceptional harpist with a fabulous technical ability, combined with wonderful musicianship”.
Rachel Masters, The Principal Harpist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra
“I've never heard a harpist play with such clarity like this before!”
Ronnie Wood, The Rolling Stones - after Alma's solo performance at a fundraising concert
"Thank you for your beautiful music Alma, you are a very talented young musician!"
HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Lancaster House
“I recently attended Alma’s recital at the Royal Academy of Arts, where her virtuosity was matched by immaculate presentation!”
Professor Colin Lawson, (CBE), Director of the Royal College of Music in London
“Alma was my student at the RCM for four years. She gained the ABRSM scholarship, which in itself is an achievement. As one of the strongest harp students we have had at the RCM, Valeria is an extremely accomplished harpist. Technically faultless her results from the RCM were some of the highest of a first class degree.
Ieuan Jones, The Head of the Harp Department at the Royal College of Music in London
"Harpist Alma stole the show for me with her consistently rhythmic arpeggios perfectly complimenting luscious chordal sections from the cello and violin."
Bristol Live Magazine, Bristol Live Magazine
“Dear Alma, Thank you so much for performing so wonderfully last night. I really meant it when I said that it was beyond perfect and I can’t tell you how very grateful I am to you for helping to make the event so incredibly special and memorable for our guests. It really was such a joy to listen to such a fabulous and professional performance, which was beyond anything I could have hoped for. It was so obvious how much the guests enjoyed listening to you, and I’m so pleased they all wanted to thank you personally afterwards! We run so many events here and they can sometimes all start to blend into one, but last night will always really stand out for be as one of the most special I’ve had the pleasure of working on”
Kyla Owen, National Gallery after Alma’s harp flute and viola recital at the National Gallery
"Dear Alma, I don't think I ever wrote to you to thank you and Luce and Hannah for the concert you gave to us on the 29th October. It was an unqualified success; the audience loved it, the Lifeboats made some good money and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I have to say that the grace and beauty of the harpist was universally commented on! - also Luce's statuesque and beautiful playing. It was good of Hannah to fill in at the last moment and she completed an fine and unusual trio. Bringing Howard Blake was a brilliant stroke -it was a hit with the audience and he is a very nice man; I enjoyed talking to him I hope all goes well with your careers and I look forward to seeing your names in lights. Yours ever Christopher"
Christopher Thornhill, RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
“…The engaging young soloists Alma [harp] and Luce Zurita [flutes] seemed to cope admirably with the level of virtuosity and musicality demanded of them – as did the SSO. I have to confess that the programmatic nature of the piece went from my head as soon as it started – thanks to the performers the music had its own logic. It’s pretty extraordinary that an orchestra drawn from really quite a narrow local community can provide players of a calibre both willing and able to take on challenging 21st century music and make it work so well. Incidentally it was good [and something to be encouraged] that the soloists followed recent trends and gave us a delightful Jacques Ibert encore after the concerto.”
John Hendry, Sevenoaks Symphony Orchestra
“Dear Alma, Thank you so much for your lovely playing at our reception on Tuesday. Our guests really enjoyed it, and the harp sounded so beautiful in the music room. I know Prince Michael really enjoyed meeting you too“
Debbie Butler, Communications and Marketing Manager at Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL)
